Kuroda in 135 innings of work has a 7-7 record with an ERA of 3.98. He is coming off a 115 pitch effort on Wednesday as Kuroda dropped a 3-2 road decision at Texas.

Out west in the nightcap it will be Game 2 of the freeway interleague series as the LA Angels face the LA Dodgers. The contest begins from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles at 10PM Eastern Time over on MLB Network. Hector Santiago takes the mound for the Angels as he faces fellow left hander Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers. Santiago has spent time as a starter and reliever this year. He got off to a rough start based on his 3-7 record but the lefty has a respectable ERA of 3.76 for an American League pitcher. In his past four appearances Santiago has allowed a total of one earned run working a total of 15 innings in two starts and two relief appearances. Clayton Kershaw has been dominant in 2014 as the ace of the Dodgers staff is 13-2 with an ERA of 1.71 in his 121 1/3rd innings pitched. Kershaw has given up just eight runs total over his past ten starts working 88 innings.
