After winning a suspended game they fell 4-2 in the second game of their twin bill. Nationals sit 38-32 and are in second place in the NL East division. Washington has dropped six of their past eight games. They returned home after getting swept in a three game series with the Toronto Blue Jays. Jefry Rodriguez spent time in Double A this season for Washington. He had a minor league record of 5-3 in 13 starts with an ERA of 3.31. He had a good strikeout rate of 25.4% but walked 9.9% of the batters he faced. Hess sits at 2-3 on the season with an ERA of 4.13. He looks to rebound off a loss at home to Boston where he allowed five runs with four walks in 3 1/3rd innings.

On ESPN TV at 10PM Eastern Time the LA Angles have a home date against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arizona will send Matt Koch to the hill on Tuesday to oppose Angels righthander Felix Pena. Angels have now lost three straight and seven of eight after their 7-4 defeat at home to Arizona to open this series. Arizona broke their two game losing streak in the win. Matt Koch is 5-3 in eleven starts with an ERA of 4.09. Felix Pena makes his first start of the season for the Angels. He had nine starts in Triple A this year and went 1-2 with an ERA of 3.51. His strikeout rate was 26.8% but struggled with control with a walk rate of 11.3%.
