The lone game over national television goes off at 7PM Eastern Time over ESPN TV as the New York Yankees will host the Boston Red Sox. Boston will start right hander Steven Wright in Game 2 of this series to face Yankees 21 year old right hander Luis Severino. Wright has spent time in the bullpen and has made spot starts this year. This will mark his fourth straight start. He got the win on July 30th holding the White Sox to just two earned runs over seven innings of work. He made 116 pitches in that outing so it will be interesting to see how he rebounds from that heavy workload. Severino is a Yankee prospect making his debut for the club on Wednesday night.

There will be day baseball at 2PM Eastern Time as the Chicago White Sox will play host the Tampa Bay Rays over MLB Extra Innings channel. Tampa Bay will start right hander Erasmo Ramirez on Wednesday to face White Sox left hander Carlos Rodon. After their win on Monday night the Rays have won four straight this year against the White Sox. Ramirez had held eight of his past ten opponents to one run or less. Rodon looks to rebound after a bad start on July 31st as he allowed eight earned runs, eight hits and four walks in three innings in a home defeat to the Yankees.

It will be an in-state battle at 8PM Eastern Time over MLB Extra Innings channel as the Texas Rangers will host the Houston Astros. The Rangers will start right hander Nicholas Martinez to square off with Astros left hander Scott Kazmir. Martinez has struggled by allowing 13 earned runs over his past three starts tossing 15 1/3rd innings. Kazmir has allowed one earned run over his past five starts tossing 34 innings.
