There is day baseball beginning at 1PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the New York Yankees will host the Houston Astros. New York will start right hander Michael Pineda as he opposes Astros right hander Collin McHugh. In some areas at 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network it’s the Tampa Bay Rays playing host to the Minnesota Twins. Chris Archer takes the hill for the Rays as the right hander battles Twins righty Tyler Duffy. Both teams are battling for the final AL Wildcard. Heading into Tuesday the Twins were 1 ½ games back and the Rays were 2 ½ games back of Texas.

ESPN Wednesday Night Baseball starts late night at 10:15PM Eastern Time as the San Francisco Giants are home facing the Chicago Cubs. Starting for the Giants is veteran right hander Jake Peavy as he opposes Cubs right hander Kyle Hendricks. The Cubs hold a 6 ½ game lead over San Francisco for the final NL Wildcard. The Giants are just two games in the loss column back of the LA Dodgers in the NL West race.
