The Mets will throw right hander Zach Wheeler on Wednesday afternoon to face Athletics right hander Jeff Samardzija. Wheeler has been solid for the Mets as he has allowed two earned runs or less in eight of his past nine starts.

ESPN2 Wednesday night baseball will feature the LA Angels continuing a four game series with the Boston Red Sox. These two AL teams get underway from Boston at 7PM Eastern Time and ESPN2 has the coast to coast broadcast. It will be Garrett Richards taking the mound for the Angels as he right hander will oppose Red Sox veteran right hander Clay Buchholz. Richards has allowed three earned runs total over his past three starts working 22 2/3rd innings.

Late night MLB will air at 10PM Eastern Time as the San Diego Padres will face the LA Dodgers. The Dodgers and Padres will get things started from Los Angeles at 10PM Eastern Time and ESPN will broadcast. The Padres will throw left hander Eric Stults as he will oppose Dodgers right hander Roberto Hernandez. The LA starter makes his third start for the Dodgers and has pitched well by giving up three earned runs total over 12 innings.
