The action gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the Boston Red Sox will host the Chicago White Sox. Boston will start lefty Eduardo Rodriguez as he will oppose White Sox lefty Jose Quintana. After a good start to the season the White Sox have slid downward. They sit two games under .500 as they took the field on Tuesday. The White Sox road trip got started by getting swept in a three game series over the weekend at the Cleveland Indians. Chicago has struggled on the offensive side sitting in the bottom third of Major League Baseball in runs scored (4.03 per game) and team batting average (.243). Boston is competitive sitting a ½ game back of the first place Baltimore Orioles in the AL East with a record of 39-30 entering Tuesday. They fell behind of the Orioles by hitting a cold streak dropping five of eight games following their loss in Game 1 of this series on Monday. Starter Jose Quintana for the White Sox has been a hard luck pitcher who gets no run support. He sits at 5-7 in 14 starts with an ERA of 2.63. The White Sox average just 2.6 runs per game in Quintana’s starts.

At 10PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV the LA Dodgers will host the Washington Nationals. Starting for the Dodgers will be left hander Julio Urias as he will battle Nationals right hander Joe Ross. LA is in an upswing after their win in the opener of this series has won four straight and six of their past seven games. Joe Ross has struggled in recent games sitting with an ERA of 5.82 over his past three starts working a total of 17 innings. LA rookie Urias is in better form. After a poor start he has recovered as he sits with an ERA of 1.86 over his past three starts working 14 1/3rd innings.
