The action gets underway at 4PM Eastern Time in the Bay Area Series as the San Francisco Giants will host the Oakland Athletics over Fox Sports 1. The Oakland Athletics will start right hander Chris Bassitt to face Giants lefty Madison Bumgarner. After a bad start at Washington on July 4th where Bumgarner gave up six earned runs at Washington the veteran starter held the Phillies to two earned runs and the Diamondbacks to one earned run in wins. Oakland at 44-53 is running out of time to make a run at the wild card race. They must get hot quick.

At 7:15PM Eastern Time over Fox Sports 1 it’s the St Louis Cardinals at home to the Atlanta Braves. Shelby Miller a right hander takes the mound for Atlanta to oppose Cardinals right hander Carlos Martinez. The Cardinals have not let down a bit since the All Star break winners of five of their past six games after a 4-3 home victory to Kansas City on Thursday. Shelby Miller has allowed one earned run or less in four of his past six starts.

The late night game gets going at 9PM Eastern Time over MLB Network as most of the nation will receive the LA Angels hosting the Texas Rangers. Texas will send veteran right hander Yovani Gallardo to the hill to meet LA lefty Hector Santiago. The Angels have had great success against the Rangers this year with four straight wins and seven wins in their nine meetings.

Others will receive over MLB Network at 8:40PM Eastern Time the San Diego Padres hosting the Miami Marlins. It will be David Phelps a left hander throwing for Miami to oppose Padres righty Ian Kennedy. Miami took Game 1 of this series on Thursday with the 4-0 victory. With the win Miami is still 12 games in the loss column back of first place Washington in the NL East. The Padres fell to 44-52 and dropped to ten games back in the loss column to the first place LA Dodgers in the NL West.
