It’s regional coverage on MLB Network to start the day. At 1PM Eastern Time most of the nation will receive the Toronto Blue Jays at home to the New York Yankees. On the mound for the Yankees will be Masahiro Tanaka to oppose Blue Jays right hander Marco Estrada. These two clubs open a series this weekend in a huge race in the AL East. The Yankees held a one game lead in the loss column. Tanaka fell to the Blue Jays in his outing on August 9th as he got no run support allowing two earned runs over six innings. Estrada on August 9th got the win over Tanaka as he shutout the Yankees on three hits over 6 1/3rd innings.

Others will get at 1:37PM Eastern Time over MLB Network the Boston Red Sox at home to the Seattle Mariners. Wade Miley a lefty throws for the Red Sox to face Mariners right hander King Felix Hernandez. Two teams here with very disappointing seasons and out of the wildcard chase at the present time.

At 7PM Eastern Time over FOX Sports 1 it’s the Kansas City Royals home to the LA Angels. The Angels send right hander Matt Shoemaker to the mound on Saturday to battle Royals right hander Johnny Cueto. Kansas City has dominated recent meetings with the Angels winning seven of their past eight meetings as they opened up this series on Thursday.

The late night game goes off the 10PM Eastern Time on Fox Sports 1 as the San Francisco Giants will host the Washington Nationals. Jake Peavy a right hander is on the hill for the Giants to meet Nationals lefty Gio Gonzalez. After dropping game one of this series on Thursday the Nationals have fallen to four games in the loss column back of the red hot New York Mets. The Giants are two games in the loss column back of the LA Dodgers after winning game one on Thursday.
