At 1PM Eastern Time over FOX TV it will be regional action scheduled. Some will receive an AL Central showdown as the Detroit Tigers hit the road to face the Kansas City Royals. Through Wednesday’s games the Tigers and Royals were tied in the loss column in the AL Central. The Tigers send Max Scherzer to the hill to face Royals right hander James Shield.

Others will get an NL contest as the LA Dodgers will continue a road series against the Chicago Cubs. Roberto Hernandez will make the start for the Dodgers to face Felix Doubront for the Cubs. Dodgers held a two game lead over San Francisco as they began this four game series.

MLB Network will provide regional coverage at 4PM Eastern Time. Some will receive an interleague showdown as the Philadelphia Phillies are out west to face the Oakland Athletics. Jerome Williams will get the start for Philadelphia as he opposes Athletics left hander Drew Pomeranz. Oakland is battling Seattle and the second place finisher from the AL Central for two AL Wildcard spots.

Others will receive an AL East division contest as the Toronto Blue Jays continues a road series against the New York Yankees. Marcus Stroman takes the hill for Toronto to face Orioles right hander Chris Tillman. Both teams have faint hopes for a post season berth.

Regional action is scheduled in prime time over MLB Network. At 8:40PM Eastern Time some will receive an NL West showdown as the San Francisco Giants will continue a road series against the San Diego Padres. Yusmerior Petit hits the hill for San Francisco as he faces Padres right hander Andrew Cashner. This will not be an easy series for San Francisco.

Others will receive at 9PM Eastern Time the Texas Rangers continuing a weekend AL West series against division champion LA Angels. Colby Lewis will take the hill for the Rangers as he will oppose Angels Wade LeBlanc for the Angels. The Angels are playing for home field advantage in the ALCS as there is still something to play for.
