Miami is off to an 0-6 start to the  season. Second year quarterback Josh Rosen has not been able to win the starting quarterback job away from journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick. Miami started poorly losing games the first four weeks by 20 points or greater. They have cut their losing margin down by ridding their roster of veterans through trades in return for draft picks. The younger players replacing these veterans are quicker but lack the skill thus far to win. It has been difficult chore for the Dolphins to win games as their offense produces only 258 yards with 66 rushing per game for 3.3 per carry. Defensively on the season the team is giving up 417 yards with 256 passing for 69% completion rate. The numbers would be a lot worse if the Dolphins were more competitive on the scoreboard as opposing offenses have elected to run out the clock to protect big leads in the fourth quarter. In their game last week against Buffalo the Dolphins attained a season high in yards gained on offense.

Pittsburgh is off to a 2-4 start. Team was hit hard with a major injury losing starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the season with an elbow injury. His backup Mason Rudolph suffered a concussion and the team was forced to utilize a third string in his place. Pittsburgh is coming off a bye week after their 24-17 win at the LA Chargers. Mason Rudolph has cleared the concussion protocol and should be ready to line up under center for the Steelers. Pittsburgh offense generates only 276 yards a game with only 76 rushing for 3.5 yards per run attempt. Steelers are hoping that starting running back James Connor can play as he is listed as probable with a quad injury.
