As you check out the stats on the Toledo Rockets you can be impressed by their offense. The team puts up 42 points and 493 yards per game.

But as you do a bit of schedule analysis you find that Toledo piled up a lot of points and yards against MAC conference schools.

The MAC conference sports some of the worst defenses in all of college football.

Toledo will be without head coach Tim Beckman as he has been hired for the Illinois head coaching job.

The Rockets finished the year winning three straight and six of their past seven games.

Their lone loss in that span came against Northern Illinois by the score of 63-60 at home and it cost them a spot in the MAC conference championship game.

The Toledo Rockets are led by sophomore quarterback Terrance Owens who passed for 71.4% with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Air Force Falcons finished strongly closing the year with two straight wins and four wins in their past five games.

They won the Commander In Chief trophy this season for the second straight year with wins over Navy and Army.

Air Force had an 11 point road defeat to Boise St and dropped a 26 point decision at Notre Dame.

Both teams have a common opponent in Boise St and Toledo was defeated by the Broncos by the score of 40-15 as a +20 ½ point home underdog.

Falcon’s senior quarterback Tim Jefferson Jr. concluded play hitting on nearly 61% of his passes for 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

The Toledo Rockets have not seen this option run game from the Air Force Falcons.

The Rockets have a bad defense giving up over 401 yards a game with nearly 31 points.

They could be in for a long day with Tim Jefferson Jr. and his stable on running backs running all over the Rockets.

Toledo and Air Force will tee up the Military Bowl from RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on Wednesday December 28th at 4:30PM Eastern Time.
