Seattle was only a -1 point favorite last week as they took on the LA Chargers in their new home stadium. Seahawks came away with the 48-17 victory against the Chargers. The Seattle starters saw action in the first drive and allowed Phillip Rivers to drive LA to a touchdown. Seahawks took advantage of turnovers as they forced four turnovers in the victory including a 37 yard interceptions return for touchdown. Russell Wilson saw one series but the second year man out of TCU, Trevone Boykin had a good game playing as the backup. He threw for 185 yards with a touchdown and pick hitting on 12 of 15 throws. The third string for the Seahawks is Austin Davis a veteran out of Southern Miss who hit 7 of 9 passes for 108 yards. Thomas Rawls is hoping for a healthy year in 2017 and saw only two carries. In their victory Seattle put 34 first half points and scored touchdowns in each of the final two quarters.

Minnesota met the Buffalo Bills in their preseason opener and came away with the 17-10 road victory. Sam Bradford will start for the Vikings once again this season and saw work in the opener as he hit 5 of 7 passes for 35 yards. Former LA Rams signal caller Case Keenum hit 11 of 16 passes for 121 yards. Minnesota will have to find a replacement for running back Adrian Peterson who left the Vikings in the offseason during free agency. Former Tennessee Titans back Bishop Sankey came to the Vikings in the offseason and ran for 14 yards as he had four carries. Vikings defense was good a season ago and recorded three sacks in the win at Buffalo.
