It all gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the Cincinnati Reds host the Chicago Cubs. Getting the start for Chicago will be Cole Hamels as he opposes Cincinnati righty Sonny Gray. Reds return home after dropping four of six on the road as they get swept in a two game series to the LA Angels scoring one run in each game. After winning the first two games in Milwaukee the Reds have dropped four straight. Chicago hits the road after a ten game home stand where the Cubs have lost five of the first nine games. Cole Hamels enters play with a 6-2 record in sixteen starts with ERA of 2.92 and WHIP of 1.19. He has gotten run support from his club with an average of 6.4 runs scored in Hamels starts. Hamels comes off a good start at home to the Mets giving up three runs over seven innings in a 5-3 win. Sonny Gray in his first season with Cincinnati checks in with a 3-5 mark in fifteen starts with ERA of 4.03 and WHIP of 1.28. He looks to rebound after a poor start at Milwaukee where Gray surrendered four runs with four walks and two homers in 4 1/3rd innings.

At 8:40PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings Channel it will be the Colorado Rockies at home battling the LA Dodgers. On the hill for Colorado will be Antonio Senzatela as he opposes Dodgers lefty Hyun Jin Ryu. LA opened this series after dropping two of three at Arizona and has a 21-18 record on the road. Dodgers have dominated the Rockies winning ten straight and winning all six games played head to head this year. Back in early April the Dodgers scored a total of 29 runs in their three game series at Colorado. Ryu is a Cy Young candidate with a 9-1 record in fifteen starts with ERA of 1.27 and WHIP of 0.84. He held the Rockies to one earned run and six hits in his last start six days ago working six innings. Antonio Senzatela sits at 6-5 in fourteen starts with an ERA of 4.91 and WHIP of 1.57. In his last start Senzatela allowed two earned runs and five hits over 6 1/3rd innings at the LA Dodgers.
