On FOX Sports 1 TV at 4PM Eastern Time the Washington Nationals are home to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Getting the start for Arizona will be Taylor Clarke as he opposes Nationals righty Stephen Strasburg. As Arizona wins the first game of this series the team has won seven of their past eight games to move their record to 37-33 and in the NL Wildcard hunt. Diamondbacks have been a good road team with a mark of 23-17. Taylor Clarke makes his sixth start of the season for Arizona. The righthander is 1-2 with an ERA of 5.26 and WHIP of 1.40. He has struggled in his past two road starts giving up nine runs in 5 1/3rd innings at Philadelphia and Colorado. Strasburg is 7-3 in fourteen starts this year with an ERA of 3.36 and WHIP of 1.01. The veteran comes off a good start at San Diego giving up one run over seven innings of a 5-2 road win. Nationals are 3-0 in his past three starts. Nationals bullpen has been poor this year sitting with an ERA of 6.24.

The late night game begins at 9PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the LA Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs. It will be former Dodger Yu Darvish on the hill for Chicago as he opposes Dodgers righthander Walker Buehler. As LA wins the first game of this series the team moved their record to 46-23 and 26-7 on their home park. Dodgers were able to bounce back after getting swept in a two game series at the LA Angels. Cubs fell to 38-30 with the loss on Thursday. Darvish enters play at 2-3 in fourteen starts with an ERA of 4.98 and WHIP of 1.48. His last start was at Colorado where Darvish allowed four runs with two homers over six innings of a 6-5 defeat. Walker Buehler has pitched well for LA. The righthander is 7-1 in thirteen starts with ERA of 3.35 and WHIP of 0.98. He held the Giants to no runs and five hits over seven innings in a 1-0 road win. Buehler has allowed one earned run or fewer in five of his past six starts.
