There will be Day Baseball and it begins at 12PM Eastern Time as the Atlanta Braves are home to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Getting the start for Atlanta will be righthander Julio Teheran as he will oppose Pirates righty Joe Musgrove.

The first two games of this series have produced high scoring games with Atlanta winning both these contests. Pittsburgh pitching has been hammered the past two weeks. After their 7-5 loss in Game 2 of this series the Pirates have dropped eight of their past ten games. Braves have won five straight and eight of ten in that span. Musgrove has struggled in his past eight starts by giving up 33 runs 30 earned in 38 2/3rd innings of work. The Pirates are 3-7 in his past ten starts. Julio Teheran pitches in great form as the veteran righthander has allowed one earned run or fewer in seven straight starts. Atlanta is 6-1 in those contests. Teheran has pitched well in his career against the Pirates allowing two earned runs total in his past five starts tossing 34 2/3rd innings. Pirates bullpen has struggled posting an ERA of 5.58 on the season.

ESPN Thursday Night Baseball has a first pitch of 8PM Eastern Time as the Kansas City Royals host the Detroit Tigers. On the mound KC will send righty Homer Bailey to oppose Tigers lefty Matthew Boyd. Kansas City has lost eight of their past nine until winning the first game of this series against the Tigers on Tuesday 3-2. With the loss in the opener the Tigers have lost seven of nine games. Matthew Boyd has pitched well this season with an ERA of 3.08 and WHIP of 1.04 in 84 2/3rd innings of work. He has allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his past ten starts. Boyd gets very little run support and as a result the Tigers are 1-5 in his past six starts. Another rough season for Homer Bailey. The righty is 4-6 in thirteen starts with ERA of 5.90 and WHIP of 1.51. KC is 1-4 in his past five starts as the veteran has allowed 18 earned runs in 16 innings of work.
