Oakland looks to rebound after getting swept in a three game home series to the Houston Astros. After winning ten straight the Athletics are now on a five game losing streak. Frankie Montas had pitched well this season but coming off his worst start in two months giving up four runs with five walks in a loss at home to the Angels working five innings. Canning has allowed only two runs total in his past two starts. He battled Oakland on May 29th and held the Athletics to one run and three hits in six innings.
