The Twins were division champions last year sporting a record of 101-61. They dominated in divisional play with a mark of 50-26. Much of Minnesota’s success came on the road as they finished 29 games over .500. They did add depth to the rotation as former LA Dodgers Rich Hill and Kenta Maeda were signed as free agents in the offseason. They join both Jose Berrios and Jake Odorizzi to the rotation.

Second in the wagering at +300 odds are the Cleveland Indians. Cleveland sat at 93-69 in the 2019 campaign. They were 20 games over .500 against the AL Central and played well at home at 49-32. The team was hit with injuries to their pitching rotation last year. Notable starters include Mike Clevinger, Shane Bieber and Carlos Carrasco. They lose depth with Trevor Bauer now a Red and Corey Kluber a Texas Ranger.

Next the Chicago White Sox sitting at +350 odds. Team was 72-89 a season ago. They were 15 games under .500 on the road and 6-14 in interleague play. Lucas Giolito and Dallas Keuchel sit at the top of the rotation. Reynaldo Lopez, Dylan Cease and Gio Gonzalez fill out the rotation. White Sox has seen recent improvement at the plate. They sat 8th in the Major in hitting with a team batting average of .261.

The longshots in the AL Central are the Kansas City Royals at +3000 odds and Detroit Tigers +5000 odds. KC a disappointing 59-103 as they went 31-50 at home. Starting rotation has been inconsistent. Staff includes Danny Duffy, Mike Montgomery and Jacob Junis. Royals sat 27th in the Majors in Team ERA at 5.20. Nightmare season for Detroit that finished at 47-114. They had a bad home record of 22-59. Veteran starters include Matthew Boyd, Ivan Nova and Jordan Zimmermann. Detroit produced the least amount of runs in the league by averaging only 3.61 runs per game.
