The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the Houston Astros the -200 odds favorite to win the AL West. Team was division champions in 2019 at 107-55. They crushed the AL division with a mark of 56-20. Dusty Baker will manage the team in the upcoming season with the cheating scandal front and center. They do lose a key piece of their team as staff ace Gerrit Cole was lost in free agency to the Yankees. Justin Verlander and Zack Greinke are the top two in the staff. Lance McCullers Jr. returns after being sidelined to injury.

Second in the betting are the Oakland Athletics at +325 odds. Athletics an AL Wildcard team from last year finished at 97-65. They were strong at home at 52-29. Sean Manaea is hopeful for a healthy season in the rotation. Also returning is Frankie Montas who served a long suspension and was disqualified from the playoffs for a failed PED test. Mike Fiers returns for his second full season in the Athletics rotation.

Next are the LA Angels at +550 odds. Team finished fourth in the division last year at 72-90 struggling against the AL with a mark of 60-82. They made a managerial change to Joe Madden who won a World Series title in his time with the Cubs. Madden spent time as a coach in the Angels organization. Angels have been hit hard with injuries to their starting rotations the past few seasons. There are questions if Shohei Ohtani can pitch a full season. Andrew Heaney is a holdover from the past few seasons. Filling out the staff are veterans Julio Teheran and Dylan Bundy. Young prospect Griffin Canning could be the fifth starter.

The longshots in the field are the Texas Rangers at +1500 odds and the Seattle Mariners at +12500 odds. Texas was the third place team in the division at 78-84. Texas made a huge addition to their pitching staff in acquiring starter Corey Kluber. Mike Minor and Lance Lynn return. Veterans Kyle Gibson and Jordan Lyles round out the staff. Seattle was in the cellar of the AL West at 68-94. They got crushed against the division at 27-49. Team sat 29th in MLB in hitting connecting on only .237. This is a pitching staff with lots of question marks that includes Marco Gonzalez, Taijuan Walker and Yusei Kikuchi at the top of the rotation.
