Mets have been strong at the plate facing lefthanders with a batting average of .290 on the season. They do have a huge issue in the bullpen with a team ERA of 6.25. Sean Newcomb had pitched well despite no record in two starts. His ERA of 1.64 working 11 innings on the season. Entering this series, the Braves had won three straight and seven of eight. Atlanta has got good work from their starting rotation but like the Mets the team has struggled in relief.
