Ross Detwiler has a mark of 1-2 in four starts with an ERA of 5.72 and WHIP of 1.48. He faced the Phillies on the road Saturday allowing two runs over 5 2/3rd innings pitched.

Two AL Central contenders meet at 8PM Eastern Time on MLB Network with the Minnesota Twins hosting the Cleveland Indians. On the hill for Minnesota will be Devin Smeltzer as he will battle Indians righthander Shane Bieber. As these teams open this series the Minnesota Twins cling to a two game lead on the Cleveland Indians. Cleveland holds a three game lead in the AL Wildcard race. After losing two of three at home to Houston to open their homestand the Indians they take 5 of 6 against the Angels and Rangers. Twins opened their homestand sweeping the Royals in a three game series then lose two of three to the Braves giving up a total of 23 runs in the final two games. Shane Bieber sits at 11-4 in 23 starts with an ERA of 3.31 and WHIP of 0.98. He faced the Angels on Sunday allowing two runs over nine innings of a 6-2 home win. Devin Smeltzer has a mark of 1-1 in three starts with an ERA of 2.28 and WHIP of 0.90. He faced the Royals on Sunday giving up no runs and two hits over six innings of a 3-3 home win.
