James Paxton sits at 5-3 overall in fourteen starts with an ERA of 4.09 and WHIP of 1.45. He comes off a good start at the New York Mets allowing one run over six innings. Charlie Morton sits at 9-2 in eighteen starts. The righty comes off a strong outing at home to Baltimore giving up one earned run with four hits and twelve strikeouts in 7 innings of work.

At 4PM Eastern Time on MLB Extra Innings Channel the LA Dodgers host the San Diego Padres. On the hill for LA will be Ross Stripling as he will oppose Padres lefty Joey Lucchesi. The teams have split the first two games of this series after the Dodgers blew a lead late in a 3-2 home defeat to the Padres on Friday. That broke a five game losing streak for San Diego. Dodgers saw their home record fall to 37-10. Joey Lucchesi sits at 6-4 in sixteen starts with an ERA of 3.91 and WHIP of 1.13. In his last start the lefty allowed two earned runs and four hits over 5 1/3rd innings at home to St Louis. Ross Stripling has a mark of 3-2 in eight starts with ERA of 3.45 and WHIP of 1.26. In his past four starts the righthander has not been able to log at least five innings. His last start the righthander pitched only 4 2/3rd innings giving up four earned runs and got bailed out as the Diamondbacks bullpen blew a save late.
