Mike Soroka has pitched well against the Cardinals this season allowing one earned run in two starts working 13 innings. Adam Wainwright looks to rebound after back to back poor starts to the Diamondbacks and Cubs where he allowed eleven runs over 9 1/3rd innings.

At 7:45PM Eastern Time on TBS TV has the Washington Nationals hosting Game 3 to the LA Dodgers. Starting for LA will be lefthander Hyun Jin Ryu as he will oppose Nationals righty Max Scherzer. LA won the first game of this series 6-0 behind a solid pitching performance by Walker Buehler. Then in Game 2 it was National starter Steven Strasberg delivering a good night of pitching for the Nationals aiding in their 4-2 win in Game 2 to tie the series at 1-1. Max Scherzer pitched an inning of scoreless relief on Friday night. He has been hit since returning off the DL with an ERA over five in eight starts. In the NL Wildcard home win to Milwaukee the righthander allowed three runs over five innings. Hyun Jin Ryu got off to a great start to the season. He was pounded in late August then saw his workload decrease in September. In his tune up, Ryu held San Francisco to no runs and five hits over seven innings of work.
