There will be Day Baseball and it begins at 1PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the Detroit Tigers host the Chicago White Sox. Getting the start for Detroit will be Daniel Norris as he will oppose White Sox righty Dylan Cease. Detroit is the worst team in baseball with only 32 wins as they opened this series. The team has posted an embarrassing 13-36 record at home. They traded away their productive players at the All Star Break in right fielder Nick Castellanos and closer Shane Greene. White Sox have fallen out of contention since the All Star Break as the team sits at 48-61 as they begin this series on Monday. Dylan Cease has a record of 1-4 in five starts with an ERA of 6.43 and WHIP of 1.54. He faced the Mets on Thursday giving up four runs and seven hits over seven innings of a 4-0 home defeat. Daniel Norris checks in at 3-8 in nineteen starts with an ERA of 4.67 and WHIP of 1.40. He held the Angels to no runs and three hits over five innings of a 9-1 road win on Wednesday.

Two divisional leaders meet at 8PM Eastern Time on MLB Network as the Minnesota Twins are home to the Atlanta Braves. Starting for Minnesota will be Jose Berrios as he will oppose Braves lefty Max Fried. Braves hold a seven game lead in the NL East as they open this interleague series. Twins are only three games up on Cleveland after their weekend three game series sweep of the Kansas City Royals. Max Fried has a record of 12-4 in 21 starts with an ERA of 4.07 and WHIP of 1.37. He faced the Reds at home Thursday allowing one run and four hits over six innings of a 4-1 win. Jose Berrios checks in at 10-5 in 22 starts with an ERA of 2.80 and WHIP of 1.10. Berrios faced the Marlins on Wednesday giving up no runs and two hits with eleven strikeouts over seven innings of a 7-4 road win.
