The San Antonio Spurs took control in the fourth quarter as they defeat the Golden St Warriors by the score of 102-92 and covering the point spread as a -2 point betting favorite. The Spurs got up early by nine after one quarter and had a good shooting game by making over 50% of their shots. Golden St put up two monster efforts in game one and two and it seemed the heavy minutes logged in by the starters may have taken their toll in game three as the Warriors seemed a bit flat and did not play with the sense of urgency we saw in Nuggets series. The concern for head coach Mark Jackson is to try and crank up his team back to the levels seen in game one and two. Stephen Curry has been logging in some heavy minutes. In the double overtime game in the opening contest Curry logged nearly 58 minutes which was the four quarters plus the entire two overtime periods. He then played 43 minutes in the Warriors win in game two while in game three Curry played over 42 minutes and shot a poor 5 of 17. Spurs guard Tony Parker had his best scoring output in the playoffs with 32 points in 35 minutes of play. The Spurs brought a good defensive performance in game two as they held the hot shooting Warriors to cold shooting as they shot less than 40% and make 31% of their three point shots. The Spurs lead this best of seven NBA playoff series by a 2-1 margin. San Antonio opened up this second round series by defeating The Warriors 129-27 in double overtime. The Warriors responded with a nice victory as they crush the San Antonio Spurs 100-91 and covering as a +7 point road underdog were the Warriors.
