The playoff action gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Dallas Mavericks will play host to the Houston Rockets. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the road side Houston Rockets the -1 point betting favorite with the total lined at 214 ½ points. The Houston Rockets are up 2-0 in this series as they have been able to pull away from the Mavericks with strong fourth quarter performances. Dallas is a very poor perimeter defensive team and this matchup with the Rockets was the worst possible of the seven other playoff teams possibly matched up with the Mavericks. Dallas is 27th and fourth last in the NBA in three point defending by allowing 36.4% from three on the year.

At 8PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 it’s the Washington Wizards at home facing the Toronto Raptors. Washington is favored by -3 ½ points with an over under line set at 195 ½ points. The Toronto Raptors are up against it. They opened the playoffs with two home games and lost every one of them to the Washington Wizards. There were a lot of critics over Wizards head coach Randy Whitman’s handling of the team during the regular season. Record wise they have underperformed but when you look at minute distribution you see that minutes were limited to starters and spread well onto their bench. Now the minutes are added to the starting lineup for the postseason and the team has been extremely productive thus far in the post season.

The late night game will air on ESPN at 9:30PM Eastern Time as the San Antonio Spurs will host the LA Clippers. The San Antonio Spurs are favored by -4 points with an over under line set at 204 ½ points. The series is tied at 1-1 after the Spurs win in overtime at LA on Wednesday. Tim Duncan in 44 minutes of play for a 38 year old body had 28 points and grabbed 11 boards in the win. He will turn 39 on Saturday.
