The action gets underway at 8PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Washington Wizards host the Boston Celtics. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Washington Wizards favored by -5 points with the over under odds lined at 216 points.

The Celtics are looking for the closeout as they hold a 3-2 lead in this series. The home team has won all five games in this series. What has been interesting has been the Celtics point discrepancy in their road games in this series. They average 125 points a game at home and only 95 on the road. That is a 30 point difference. The Wizards need both guards Bradley Beal and John Wall to shoot effectively. Boston won Game 5 at home 123-101 as they cover as a 4 point favorite. Beal and Wall shot poorly going 14 of 36 in defeat. The three pointers were not falling for the Wizards in their Game 6 defeat as they go a poor 7 of 29. The Wizards strategy in Game 5 was to contain Isaiah Thomas and restrict him from going off for big numbers. Thomas had only 18 points on 5 of 13 shooting. But in defending Thomas they allowed the Celtics supporting cast to put up some good numbers. Avery Bradley went off for 29 points on 12 of 19 shooting. Jae Crowder had 18 points and center Al Horford scored 19 as he goes 8 of 9. Washington struggled with their defense this season and will have to find a better plan to defend Boston the remainder of this series. Another issue facing the Washington Wizards is finding someone from their bench to lift the team if Beal or Wall is going bad. Should Washington be successful to force a Game 7 in this series it will be played at Boston on Monday night giving each team two days of rest between games.
