The action gets going at 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Washington Wizards are home to the Cleveland Cavaliers.  It has been a poor start to the season for the Cavaliers as the team is 3-5 straight up and 1-7 against the spread. Cleveland enters on a four game losing streak. They come off a 124-107 home defeat to Indiana on Wednesday favored by 10 points. The defense has been atrocious for the Cavaliers. During this losing streak the Cavs allowed an average of 118 points per game. Last year the Cavaliers played defense poorly in the regular season until the playoffs started. On the year Cleveland is allowing 47% shooting with a very poor 41.8% from the three point line. Washington is 4-3 and looks to rebound after a 122-116 home defeat to Phoenix as an 11 point favorite. It was their first home game after a four game west coast trip that saw the Wizards go 2-2. They too have struggled on the defensive side of the court allowing 46.6% shooting to opponents.

At 9:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV the Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Boston Celtics. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Oklahoma City Thunder favored by -5 ½ points with the total lined at 205 points. After starting the season at 0-2 the Boston Celtics have won six straight games. During this win streak the Celtics have allowed 94 points or fewer. Boston had struggled shooting the basketball the past few seasons. This year they are shooting 44.4% with 36.2% from three. Still not tip tier numbers. That could be a result of missing Gordon Hayward who has been lost for the season with a broken leg. Oklahoma City is 4-3 on the season. They return home off a 2-1 road trip. After dropping a three game decision at Minnesota they picked up spread covering victories at the Bulls and Bucks. OKC has defended well limiting opponents to 41.9% shooting.
