Oklahoma City is no lock for the playoffs. They sit in the fourth seed but have only a 2 ½ game lead on LA for the ninth seed in the playoffs. LA Clippers are on a back to back after a 101-96 defeat at Houston on Friday night. This broke a three game win streak for the Clippers. The schedule gets very tough for LA as up next will be Portland at home followed up with road games at Minnesota, Milwaukee and Indiana. LA is missing key rotational players as Avery Bradley and Danilo Gallinari will miss considerable time with injuries. Oklahoma City carries a four game win streak into this game with two days of rest. Thunder come off a 119-107 road win at Atlanta on Tuesday.

The late night game goes off at 10:30PM Eastern Time on NBA TV with the LA Lakers home to the Miami Heat. Lakers are unlikely to make the playoffs down 8 ½ games of the eighth seed in the Western conference. Miami sits in the eight seed in the Eastern conference holding a 5 ½ game lead over the ninth seeded Detroit Pistons. LA has played very well on their home court as the team has won 11 of their past 12. They return home after an 11 point defeat at Golden St on Wednesday. Prior to that were home victories to the Nuggets by 9 and Cavaliers by 14. Heat opened up this road trip with losses at Portland and Sacramento. Miami has lost nine straight games on the road.
