The home team has won all games in this series. The hosting team has covered all but Game 6 with the Celtics covering as a five point underdog in a 92-91 loss at Washington which forces this deciding game on Monday. The 183 combined points by both teams marked the lowest output in this series by far. In the previous six playoff games the winning team scored at least 116 points and in five games the winner had at least 121 scored. The combination of Wizards guards Bradley Beal and John Wall have carried this Wizards roster. It is hard to imagine the Wizards winning or at least covering in a Game 7 without both players having good games. Wall and Beal combine to average nearly 52 points per game. Otto Porter and Markieff Morris are distanced third and fourth as they each put in only 11 a game in the playoffs. A lot more has been expected out of Marcin Gortat but he has only managed to score 8.4 a game in the post season.

The Celtics have been heavily relied upon Isaiah Thomas to provide scoring for the team. During the regular season when Thomas would miss extended time due to injuries we would see a major decline in performance. Washington has strategized in recent games to shut Thomas down and left open his teammates for good looks at the basket. Boston got good contributions in recent games from Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder so that move backfired for the Wizards. Quietly it has come down to Al Horford producing more at the center position. The veteran is averaging 14 points a game in the playoffs and pulling down seven more rebounds.
