The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Golden St Warriors favored by -7 ½ points with the over under line set at 222 ½ points.

New Orleans was the only team in the first round of the playoffs to complete a four game sweep. They disposed of the Portland Trailblazers in four games. After winning both games at Portland the Pelicans went home and put up 119 points in a 17 point win and 131 points in a Game 4 eight point victory. It was an impressive win because the Pelicans faced a strong guard combination from the Trailblazers in CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard. Rajon Rondo was huge in the first round by averaging 13 assists per game. Last year in two playoff games with the Bulls Rondo was instrumental in leading Chicago to a 2-0 lead to the top seeded Boston Celtics in the 2017 postseason. Rondo suffered a season ending injury and the Bulls got eliminated. But a healthy Rondo could be the wildcard in this series to allow the Pelicans to give the Warriors a battle.

Golden St has been without Stephen Curry for the first round of the playoffs with his sprained knee. He has been listed as day to day so there is a possibility for Curry to play. Warriors disposed of the San Antonio Spurs in five games. They were up 3-0 in the series then had a cold shooting game in Game 4 to send the series back to the Bay Area. Warriors held off a late rally by San Antonio to come away with the 99-91 victory in Game 5. Warriors had built a 16 point second half lead that whittled away to two points in the final minute. Golden St then held San Antonio scoreless in the final 57 seconds of the game to eliminated the Spurs.
