The San Antonio Spurs are looking for the closeout as they take the 3-2 series lead by beating Houston in Game 5 by the score 110-107 in overtime but failing to cover the spread as a 5 ½ point favorite. San Antonio did not shoot particularly well in the victory hitting only 40.8% They did get a lift from their veteran guard Manu Ginobili who in 31 minutes was able to score 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Houston had a rough night from the three point line hitting only 33.3% with 16 of 48 from beyond the arc. In the late stages of Game 5 the shots were not falling for Houston A tough night for Eric Gordon from the three point line as he makes only 1 of 6 shots. Lou Williams was 0 of 5 from three. Williams acquired from the Lakers has been a good offensive addition for Houston during the regular season and first round of the playoffs. In Rockets losses in Games 2 and 3 it was Lou Williams scoring only four points combined in those two games. James Harden is asked to do a lot and fatigue could be sinking into this All Star. There is some concern for the health of Kawhi Leonard. The Spurs leading scorer injured his left leg which forced him to exit the game in the third period and limited his fourth quarter minutes. Leonard for Game 6 is listed as questionable with his ankle injury. The teams split the two games in this series at Houston. Game 3 saw the Spurs beat the Rockets on the road by 11 points by holding Houston to 36.3% from the field.
