Celtics will have two days of rest while the Cavaliers are on a back to back. Boston is 30-10 and have a two game lead in the loss column in the Eastern Conference. Boston is second in the league in scoring and shooting defense by allowing 98.5 points per game with 43.6% shooting.

The late night game on ESPN TV begins at 10:30PM Eastern Time as the LA Lakers welcome into town the Oklahoma City Thunder. LA has fallen to the bottom of the Western conference with a record of 11-25 after their 114-96 road defeat at Minnesota on New Year’s Day. It is now a seven game losing streak and nine losses in ten games. LA has been without point guard Lonzo Ball who is out with a shoulder injury. Oklahoma City after their six game win streak lost a couple at home to Milwaukee by two and Dallas by three points. Thunder ranks in the lower half of the league in the key offensive categories which are scoring, shooting, three point shooting and free throws.
