The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Boston Celtics favored by -2 ½ points with the over under line of 226 points. We are down to the final 22 games of the regular season as teams are gearing for that playoff push. Boston took a step back this regular season disappointed in the standings as they hold the fifth seed in the East trailing the top seeded Milwaukee Bucks by 9 ½ games. They are two back of Philadelphia for the fourth seed and with that comes home court in the first round. Portland sits in the fourth seed in the west holding a two game lead over Houston for home court in the first round. Boston is in a back to back on Wednesday after they fell on the road to Toronto 118-95 on Tuesday night. Celtics have dropped two straight and four of their past six games. Portland has been hot since the All Star break a perfect 3-0 on this long east coast trip picking up wins at Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Cleveland.

The late night game begins at 10:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the LA Lakers host the New Orleans Pelicans. LA is favored by -5 ½ points with the over under line of 238 ½ points. New Orleans have the look of a lottery team sitting six games behind the Spurs for the eighth seed in the west. Lakers are three games back of San Antonio for the final playoff spot. New Orleans will have Anthony Davis in the lineup and the All Star is on a minute’s limit to protect his trade value. Pelicans finished 1-1 on their home stand beating the Lakers by 13 and a one point loss to Philadelphia. LA returns home after dropping both games on their road trip at New Orleans by 13 and Memphis by 5. Overall the team has lost six of their past eight games struggling playing defense.
