New Orleans has won seven of their past ten games after their 138-132 home win to Utah on Thursday night. Pelicans shooting has been very good during this stretch of the schedule.

The prime time game on ABC TV begins at 8:30PM Eastern Time as the Houston Rockets host the LA Lakers. The Lakers sit at 33-8 on the season with a road record of 17-3. The Lakers hit the road after a 119-118 home defeat to Orlando on Wednesday despite shooting 49%. Anthony Davis sat out with a tailbone injury and is questionable for Saturday. Without Davis in the lineup the Lakers on a recent two game road trip beat Dallas by 11 then the following night beat Oklahoma City by 25 points. Houston is 26-14 overall and 14-5 on the home court. Rockets have lost two straight following a 117-107 home defeat to Portland on Thursday. Rockets were playing on a back to back after losing at Memphis by 11 the night before. This will be the first meeting of the season between these two playoff contenders.
