The action gets underway at 8PM Eastern Time as the Oklahoma City Thunder will continue their road trip as they face the Brooklyn Nets. They will tip off from Brooklyn with ESPN TV providing the coast to coast TV broadcast. This will be a difficult playing spot for the Thunder as they will have played at the Miami Heat the night before. The Thunder is trying to navigate through this season without the services of Russell Westbrook who is sidelined with a knee injury and is expected back into the lineup around mid-February. Without Westbrook in the lineup we have seen an upsurge in scoring by Kevin Durant. He has put up some monster numbers in recent games in January as he put up 54 on Golden St, 46 on Portland, 36 at San Antonio and on Monday he had 41 points and the game winner in a 111-109 home victory against the Atlanta Hawks. Heading into Thursday’s action Durante had logged in over 43 minutes in each of his past two games. Durant is connecting on 51% from the floor and hitting on 42% from three. Brooklyn is a well-rested team having last played on Monday in a 104-103 home defeat to the Toronto Raptors as a -4 point favorite. It was a back to back spot as the team was playing their third game in four nights and facing travel in each spot against a rested Raptors team. The loss broke a five game win streak.

The doubleheader game out west will feature the Golden St Warriors hitting the road to face the Utah Jazz. The Warriors and Jazz will get things started from Utah at 10:30PM Eastern Time over ESPN TV. Utah will close out a four game home stand and will be riding a two game win streak. They are a rested team having last played on Monday in a 7 point win to Sacramento. Golden St enters play on a back to back after hosting the LA Clippers on Thursday night.
