Two playoff contending teams will battle in a West versus East affair as the Portland Trailblazers continue their road trip as they battle the Indiana Pacers. The Trailblazers and Pacers get things started from Indiana at 7PM Eastern Time over ESPN TV. Portland will be playing game three of a four game road trip. They team has stumbled in recent outings as heading into their Wednesday night game at the New York Knicks the team had lost three of their past four games. They opened up their road trip with a 100-90 defeat on the road to Washington. Defense has to be a major concern for Portland now as they are giving up tons of points in recent games. Heading into Wednesday’s action the Trailblazers have allowed 100 or more points in nine of their past ten games. Indiana will have the benefit of rest in this spot as the team last played on Tuesday night in an 89-85 road victory to the Atlanta Hawks as a -3 point wagering favorite. The Indiana Pacers are a very motivated regular season team. They are out to clinch the number one seed in the Eastern conference and lock up home court advantage should they meet the Miami Heat in the playoffs. Heading into Wednesday’s games the Pacers held a 3 ½ game lead over Miami in the Eastern conference.

The nightcap of the doubleheader will feature the Minnesota Timberwolves hitting the road to battle the New Orleans Pelicans. The Timberwolves and Pelicans will get things started from New Orleans at 9:30PM Eastern Time and ESPN TV will provide the coast to coast TV broadcast. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been hovering the .500 mark much of this season. They are not a very efficient team as they rank 25th in the NBA in shooting and 29th and second to last in field goal defense. New Orleans is a young and rebuilding team. Second year man Anthony Davis is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.
