Game 1 on the national television scheduled will feature the Sacramento Kings hitting the road to battle the New York Knicks. They get started from Madison Square Garden in New York at 7:30PM Eastern Time and NBA TV will provide the coast to coast broadcast. Sacramento has not been good this season on the road as they carry a 6-18 straight up record on the highway as they enter their game on Tuesday at Cleveland. A positive this season has been the maturity growth of center DeMarcus Cousins who has put great effort and numbers this season without contributing negatively as in the past. Cousins’ was snubbed off the All Star team and in a high profile city could set up a big game from Sacramento’s big man. The Knicks are in another funk as the team has dropped four of their past five games since losing 112-100 on the road to Oklahoma City on Sunday in a national televised game. The Knicks have not defended constantly this season as they have allowed over 100 points in three of their past four games.

The late night game will be a good one as Lebron James and the Miami Heat will continue their west coast trip as they face the upstart Golden St Warriors. The Heat and Warriors get going from Golden St at 10:30PM Eastern Time over NBA TV. Entering their home game against Philadelphia on Monday the team has a record of 30-21 and sits in the eighth seed in the competitive Western conference. Most people assume the Warriors are a playoff team but they hold only a 2 ½ game lead over Memphis for the final spot in the post season. The Warriors greatly miss backup point guard Jarrett Jack who was lost in free agency. Entering their game on Tuesday at Phoenix the Heat began their road trip at 1-1. They win at the Clippers and after two days off goes into Utah and lose by five on Saturday.
