The action gets started at 7:30PM Eastern Time on NBA TV as the Miami Heat will host the Toronto Raptors. The Miami Heat has just three games left in their regular season. They sit in the tenth seed in the Eastern conference trailing the seventh and eighth seeded Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets by 1 ½ games for a playoff spot. The Heat has been trying to navigate the second half of the season without the services of Chris Bosh who is out for the season with blood clots in the lung. The Heat acquired Goran Dragic from the Phoenix Suns at the trading deadline. The point guard has played 24 games for the Heat and is averaging 16 ½ points per game along with 50% shooting. The Heat hit a slump late in the season. Their 89-78 home defeat to Chicago on Thursday was their fifth loss in six games. Toronto is in a fight for the fourth seed as they hold a slim one game lead over the fifth seeded Washington Wizards with just four games remaining to be played. They are in a back to back spot on Saturday as they must play at Orlando on Friday night.

The late night game out west will feature the LA Clippers home to the Memphis Grizzlies at 10PM Eastern Time on NBA TV. This is an interesting game. The Clippers and Grizzlies have plenty of playoff history. It was the Grizzlies who have knocked out the Clippers from the playoffs the past two years. Memphis holds a ½ game lead over the Clippers for the second seed out west. LA is currently tied for the sixth seed in the west with the San Antonio Spurs. That’s who tight this race is that ½ game separates four teams who are vying for seed position when the playoffs begin next week. The Clippers have won four straight and nine of ten games while Memphis has is 3-4 in their past seven contests.
