Utah St is a high quality team out of the Mountain West who finished at 10-2. Their only losses came on the road to Boise St and Michigan St. They are a high flying offense that generates 493 yards and 47.2 points per game.

North Texas was off to a fast start but dropped games to Louisiana Tech, Old Dominion and UAB which dashed any chances for a New Years Six bowl. Mean Green is a good passing team under quarterback Mason Fine. Team throws for 316 yards per game and is completing 64.7% of their passes on the season.
