The action gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time over ESPN TV as the SMU Mustangs will play host to the Baylor Bears. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road side Baylor Bears the -35 point favorite with the over under set at 73 ½ points. Many are high on this Baylor team despite the turnover at the quarterback position. Junior Seth Russell has seen time under center in his first two years as an active backup quarterback with Baylor. The Bears have been on the right side of many blowout wins the past few seasons giving opportunity for Russell to pile up stats in relief of Bryce Petty. In his two year career at Baylor, Russell has thrown for 1231 yards with 12 touchdowns passes. He has rushed for 332 yards and ran for six touchdowns. While Petty was sidelined with a broken back early last season Russell got the start and passed for six touchdowns against Northwestern St. In their meeting with SMU last year it was Baylor posting the 45-0 victory. SMU went through a poor season in 2014 as they were 1-11 with head coach June Junes resigning after the second week of the season.

At 7PM Eastern Time on ESPNU TV it’s the Western Michigan Broncos hosting the Michigan St Spartans. Michigan St is lined as a -17 ½ point favorite with the total lined at 58 ½ points. Western Michigan made a bowl game last year to the surprise of many. They defended well against MAC opponents. Connor Cook returns at quarterback for Michigan St a team that lost to Oregon and Ohio St last year.

The late night games kicks off at 10:15PM Eastern Time over ESPN TV as the Boise St Broncos will be home to the Washington Huskies. Boise St is the -12 point betting favorite with the total set at 55 ½ points. Huskies head coach Chris Peterson is waiting until game day to announce his starting quarterback. Boise St goes with a first timer on Friday as well as sophomore Ryan Finley is under center.
