The Owls have been held to 24 or fewer points in their past two games. Temple has defended well this year as they give up 15.8 points a game ranking ninth in the nation. SMU is 1-7 and is on a six game losing streak since they got their first win in Week 2 at home to North Texas by the score of 31-13. Work is still needed on defense for the Mustangs.
