This game is being played on the home field of the New Mexico Lobos. The Lobos are the top rushing team from college football as they run for 361 yards per game. Texas San Antonio at 6-6 broke a two game losing streak to become bowl eligible by beating Charlotte at home 33-14.

The Las Vegas Bowl kicks off at 3:30PM Eastern Time on ABC TV as the San Diego St Aztecs will face the Houston Cougars. Houston is favored by -4 points with the over under of 51 ½ points. More was expected by Houston as they land in Las Vegas instead of a New Year’s Day Bowl game as their defense failed the team in their three losses on the season. San Diego St comes in off a victory at Wyoming for the Mountain West conference championship. The Aztecs are a solid rushing team behind running back Donnel Pumphrey who is going for the rushing record from college football.

The Cure Bowl from Orlando Florida will air on CBS Sports Network at 5:30PM Eastern Time as Central Florida will meet Arkansas St. UCF is favored by -6 ½ points with the total of 50 points. Arkansas St earned a share of the Sun Belt title entering with a 7-5 record. The Red Wolves were off to a slow start as they closed out winning seven of their past eight games. Central Florida enters on a two game losing streak after dropping a 48-31 road defeat at rival South Florida.

At 5:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN it is the Camellia Bowl from Montgomery Alabama as Toledo Rockets meet the Appalachian St Mountaineers. Toledo is favored by -1 point with a total set at 60 points. Appalachian St finished up at 9-3 and earned a share of the Sun Belt title. They gave Tennessee a scare on the road in September in a close loss. Toledo has an outstanding passing attack behind quarterback Logan Woodside. They closed the regular season with a loss at Western Michigan losing 55-35.

The final game on the slate will be the New Orleans Bowl at 9PM Eastern Time on ESPN as Louisiana Lafayette Rajin Cajuns take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. Southern Miss is favored by -6 points with a total lined at 59 points. Southern Miss started fast but faded down the stretch. They got their sixth win and became bowl eligible after a 39-24 home victory to Louisiana Tech to break a three game losing streak. UL Lafayette finished at 6-6 and needed to win their final two games against Arkansas St and UL Monroe to become bowl eligible.
