There could be some points scored in this game. North Carolina starting quarterback Marquise Williams has set some school records with the program. They were a strong offensive team that scored 35 on Clemson, 43 on Notre Dame, 40 at Pittsburgh and 45 at Duke last year. South Carolina had a poor season to their standards. The defense last year allowed 30 points per game which was 10 more than the previous season. They should be geared up for this opener after getting embarrassed by Texas A&M in the 2014 opening game.

At 8:30PM Eastern Time over FOX Sports 1 the Utah Utes will be home to meet the Michigan Wolverines. The Utes are favored by -4 ½ points with a total lined at 46 ½ points. Head coach John Harbaugh debuts for Michigan. The Wolverines failed to earn a bowl berth last season.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers will be in for a tough home test as they welcome into town the TCU Horned Frogs. Things get started from Minnesota at 9PM Eastern Time and ESPN TV has the coast to coast broadcast. The TCU Horned Frogs are favored on the road by -14 points with the total coming in at 57 ½ points. TCU is a playoff contending team coming off one loss in 2014 on the road to Baylor. They crushed Mississippi in their bowl game. Minnesota had a good campaign a season ago as the Golden Gophers were led by a solid defense that kept them competitive in many of their games.
