It all gets underway in the Chick Fil-A-Peach Bowl as the Florida St Seminoles will meet the Houston Cougars. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Florida St Seminoles the -7 point favorite with the total lined at 55 ½ points. Houston earns a New Year’s Day Six Bowl berth following a 12-1 record. This team from the AAC conference closed the regular season with four wins against bowl teams in Cincinnati, Memphis, Navy and Temple. There was a loss at bowl bound Connecticut during that span. The Cougars can defend now since they are no longer all offense and no defense. The team is 20th in scoring defense by allowing 20.5 points per game. Florida St finished at 10-2 with losses coming at Georgia Tech and Clemson. They closed the regular season with a 27-2 road win at Florida.

A playoff semifinal will take place in the Orange Bowl at 4PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Clemson Tigers will meet the Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma is favored by -3 ½ points with the over under line set at 64 ½ points. Clemson navigated through the 2015 regular season with a perfect 13-0 record. Their close call came in a 24-22 home victory to Notre Dame where they defended a two point conversion to prevent overtime late in the game. Oklahoma after suffering a 24-17 loss to Texas has won seven straight with six of the wins coming by double digits.

Semifinal playoff number two will be played at the Cotton Bowl as the Alabama Crimson Tide will meet the Michigan St Spartans at 8PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV. The Crimson Tide is favored by -10 points with an over under line set at 47 points. Michigan St has defended very well down the stretch by limiting their past four opponents to 16 points or less. Alabama has been just as impressive on the defensive end as they have held nine of their past ten opponents to 16 points or fewer.
