Duke was 4-6 and closed out the season with wins at home to Georgia Tech and Wake Forest to earn bowl eligibility at 6-6. Scoring improved with 43 against the Yellow Jackets and 31 at the Demon Deacons.

At 9PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV it is the Cactus Bowl with the UCLA Bruins battling Kansas St Wildcats. Kansas St is favored by -7 with the total set at 59 ½ points. UCLA will be without starting quarterback Josh Rosen as he sits out to prevent injury as he will enter the NFL draft. Rosen suffered a shoulder injury in their bowl clinching victory to California. Bruins are a poor defensive team allowing nearly 37 points per game. Kansas St is 7-5 and are winners of two straight with a one point home victory to Iowa St. Prior to that victory the Wildcats traveled to Oklahoma St and came away with the 45-40 road victory.
