The action gets underway at 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN3 as the Ball St Cardinals will host the Bowling Green Falcons. Bowling Green has clinched a spot in the MAC Championship Game as the leader in the East division by three games over second place Akron and Ohio. Their seven game win streak was snapped in a 44-28 home defeat to Toledo last week. Falcons had a poor game protecting the football by committing five turnovers in the game. Quarterback Matt Johnson threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns but he had two picks in the game. Bowling Green has been an offensive powerhouse this season. The team is fifth from college football in total offense as they gain 565 yards per game. They score 43.8 points per contest good for fourth best in all of college football. Senior quarterback Matt Johnson has completed 68% of his throws on the year for 4229 yards with 39 touchdowns and 6 picks. He has thrown for three touchdowns or greater in six straight games and in eight of his eleven games. A bowl game is almost certain for the Falcons with wins or losses in their next two games. Ball St will conclude a disappointing season with a high or low note on Tuesday. The team is 3-8 and will miss a bowl game. They have lost two straight and seven of their past eight games. Last week they gave up 48 points at Ohio in a loss and two weeks ago were beaten 54-7 at Western Michigan.

At 7:30PM Eastern Time on ESPNU TV the Northern Illinois Huskies will be home to the Ohio Bobcats. There is a lot riding on the results of this game for the Northern Illinois Huskies. The team is 8-3 heading into play and is in a tie with Toledo atop the MAC conference west standings at 6-1. Since Northern Illinois beat Toledo the Huskins own the tiebreaker and with a win will be headed to the Championship Game next week in the MAC. Ohio is 7-4 and hoping to better their chances for a bowl game with a win.
