The late night game begins at 10:15PM Eastern Time as the BYU Cougars have a home date with their in-state rival Utah Utes. Utah is favored by -7 points with the total lined at 48 points. BYU looks to break an eight game losing streak against the Utes. Cougars blew a 20-0 halftime lead on the road to Utah last season. BYU finished at 7-6 last year and is experienced with nine starters back on offense and eight to the defense. Quarterback Zach Wilson returns under center with all his playmakers in the passing game. Cougars did show improvement on offense last season scoring 27 points per game, a ten point improvement from the 2017 campaign. Utah was 9-5 last year returning seven starters on offense and defense. They are hoping that starting quarterback Tyler Huntley can remain healthy for the entire season as he missed the final five games last year. Utes Rose Bowl hopes were dashed in a 10-3 loss to Washington in the PAC 12 title game last season.
