Defensively UCLA is very poor by allowing 503 yards per game with 340 yards passing. Stanford evened their record to 3-3 with the 23-13 home win to the Washington Huskies. It was a strong defensive performance by the Cardinal as they held the Huskies to just 294 yards of offense and 2 of 12 on third down. With the injury to their starting quarterback K.J. Costello the team was forced to start Davis Mills. He has played well the past two games. Against Washington the junior signal caller completed 70% of his passes for 293 yards and a touchdown. The previous week he completed 72% of his throws for 245 yards with three touchdowns against Oregon St.
