There is plenty at stake in the battle of New York on Christmas Eve from the NFL as the 7-7 Giants face the 8-6 Jets.

The Giants trail the Dallas Cowboys by one game in the NFC east with two to play and the Jets are competing for a Wildcard spot from the AFC conference.

The sportsbook to place your bets from the NFL is Oddsmaker, where players get the best bonuses in the industry.

The current betting odds at Oddsmaker reveals the home team in this NFL game the New York Jets favored by –3 points with an over under at 46 ½ points.

Betting the favored New York Jets on the money line returns –145 odds.

Bettors who place their money on the New York Giants to win outright will receive +125 money line odds in return.

The Giants have hit the skids at the worst possible time. Sitting at 6-2 following a win at home to New England on November 6th the Giants seemed certain for a playoff berth.

But a slide that has seen the team go 1-5 over their past six games has turned them into a .500 team and fighting for a playoff berth.

The Giants control their destiny as with a win against the Jets and then in the season finale to Dallas and the team is NFC east champions based on head to head tiebreaker over the Cowboys.

But to get there the Giants need to turn around their fortunes on defense.

The team has given up an average of 36 points per game over their past four games.

The Giants have been torched by opponents passing attacks as the club is giving up 257 yards through the air per game.

There have been many communication problems in their secondary in regards to coverage.

They have also been extremely sloppy with the football with two or more turnovers in six of their past seven games.

Quarterback Eli Manning has thrown an interception in seven straight games.

In the Giants loss to playoff eliminated Washington last week Manning had no touchdowns and three interceptions and finished with a season low 45.5 passer rating.

The Jets have played better football as of late as their slump came during the midseason.

The New York Jet has won two of their past three games.

The issue for the Jets on Sunday is in their passing game. They have not thrown for more than 180 yards through the air over their past four games.

The Jets will need to throw the football in this spot in order to exploit the shaky play in the Giants secondary.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for two interceptions last week in the team’s ugly 45-19 loss last week at Philadelphia.

The one positive for the Jets has been pretty much solid play at home. The team has just one loss on their home soil and that came to New England.

In their past two home games the Jets put up 37 against Kansas City and 28 against the bills.

Based on the Jets better showing at home laying the three points in this game will be the winning side for bettors.

The New York Giants and New York Jets will kick off Christmas Eve at 1PM Eastern Time. Regional coverage to most of the nation is available over FOX television.
