Kuroda in the 2012 season is 5-6 in 12 starts with an ERA of 3.46 and WHIP of 1.25. After a slow start to the 2012 campaign Kuroda has put together three straight quality starts. The Yankees right hander in his past three appearances has allowed just two earned runs in 22 innings of work. He had seven shutout innings against the Mets on Friday and on May 27th shut out the Athletics in an eight innings of work. After two poor outings Tim Hudson bounced back a week ago with a complete nine game performance against the Miami Marlins. Heading into the Miami game Hudson allowed 12 earned runs in his prior 12 innings pitched in his past two starts.

The New York Yankees are hot right now as the club has five straight wins and eight wins in their past nine games. The Yankees have taken the first two games of this series. The New York pitching staff has really stepped up as the team is allowing less than three runs per game in their past seven games.
